EdX_TUF-GBA_About Page_Flex_339x230.jpg

Learners in the GBA program attend two in-person immersions: One on Tufts University’s campus in Boston that serves as a kick-off to the required capstone; and the other in an international location selected for each cohort.

During the on-campus immersion, you will build a team, tackle a problem, and manage a complex project. During the international immersion, you will experience the complexities of international business firsthand while building connections with your cohort and The Fletcher School’s global network.

Frequently asked questions

The Fletcher School's curriculum is oriented toward providing learners with the functional expertise they need for global careers. Although most Fletcher Fields of Study are organized around functional themes, the School also supports regional interests through coursework, comparative case studies, faculty and student research, and overseas internships.

Learners may choose to focus on a specific geographic region by taking courses with regional relevance, by focusing their capstone project on a region, or by self-designing a regionally focused Field of Study. Many Fletcher courses, while organized along functional lines, have substantial content in a particular region. Thus, learners often blend functional and regional interests, such as, for example, mobile banking in Sub-Saharan Africa. Finally, internship opportunities also help learners further develop regional as well as functional expertise.

The Fletcher School actively seeks to enroll a diverse class of learners who have previously demonstrated academic excellence; a wide range of personal, professional, and academic experiences; and who show a strong commitment to an international career. The School seeks students who, by virtue of their background, achievement, and experience, can contribute to the education of their peers, as well as to the analysis and practice of international relations.

Prospective students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Students will receive an email with a link to apply for the Endowed and Philanthropic Scholarships.
