The objective of this course is to raise awareness and share practical experiences of using the IGIF to strengthen the use of integrated geospatial information technologies to enhance resiliency and sustainable development through its application.

Week 1: Governance

IGIF Strategic Pathways 1, 2 and 3. This week will share cases of governance and institutional models for the development of Spatial Data Infrastructures, including policy and legal frameworks for geospatial information management and technology as well as financial models.

Week 2: Technology

IGIF Strategic Pathways 4, 5 and 6: This week will explore data and standardization aspects, including the development of a standards framework, cutting edge Digital Twin applications, and innovative examples of integrating geospatial information and statistical data.

Week 3: People

IGIF Strategic Pathways 7, 8 and 9: This week will share insights from professionals on how to develop effective communications and outreach campaigns, to foster partnerships to boost innovation, and ensuring that the education system is preparing geospatial professionals to meet future needs.

Week 4: Benefits

This week offers an overview of the benefits derived from geospatial information technology and management, country-level examples and a tutorial on how to calculate the socio-economic impact at national and local levels.
