What our learners are saying
"I chose to attend the program to accelerate my learning in UX/UI. I can say that the knowledge I gained has helped me get a job in the field I want to be in. And it took less than a year!"
Andrea P.
GW University UX/UI Boot Camp alum
"Career Services definitely helped me a lot in my job search with getting my materials ready. Having a checklist of what I needed and real people looking over it was invaluable. I had no idea about a lot of the things I was supposed to do or how to go about doing them. Meeting with my advisor was also helpful to hold me accountable to getting things done."
Beth C.
GW University UX/UI Boot Camp alum
"[The boot camp] gave me experience and tools that I currently use in my internship and will continue to use in my new job as an associate product designer. I feel so much more confident and prepared than I did prior to taking the boot camp. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to go into a career in UX/UI design."

One-third of our curriculum is dedicated to front end web development, so you’ll be fluent in the medium you’ll be working with — even if you aren’t executing the programming. Our user-centric curriculum is delivered through live, online classes and high-quality coursework. Our instructors are fully vetted by the university and offer 1-on-1 virtual guidance to learners throughout the program.
UX vs. UI
What is UX/UI?
Great design goes beyond stunning aesthetics. Learn to harness cutting-edge tools to create effective user-centric experiences. While UX and UI go hand in hand, they are two distinct, related disciplines. With the GW UX/UI Boot Camp, you’ll learn both in addition to web prototyping. Your learning will culminate in a portfolio that showcases in-demand skills — from storyboards and prototypes to interactive apps and responsive websites.
UX: The functionality.
User experience (UX) design is focused on eliminating friction for the user of a product or service. UX includes: interaction design; information architecture; wireframing; product design; plus user research, testing, and data.
UI: The look.
User interface (UI) represents how users interact with and experience digital products and services. UI includes brand expression, visual communication, accessibility, graphic design, color, layout, and typography.
