Davidson Next is the product of a partnership among Davidson College, the College Board, edX, 2Revolutions, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. In 2013, these institutions came together with the shared mission to create high-quality AP®-aligned materials that would be free to high school students and teachers around the world.

Davidson Next materials are specifically designed to enhance mastery of the most challenging concepts in the AP® curricula – in other words, the hardest material you will encounter in these college-level courses.

Davidson Next courses are not like traditional MOOCs that you will find on edX: instead, they are a collection of stand-alone modules that you can complete at your own pace. Each module is aligned to a distinct topic in that AP® course and is developed by experienced AP® teachers to supplement traditional instruction and learning. You will find engaging video lectures, interactive activities and simulations, and AP®-exam-style questions for practice.

Are you an AP® student? Enroll in Davidson Next courses and work at your own pace – as you complete your AP® course at school, virtually or on your own. You don’t need an in-class teacher to complete the modules. Take AP classes today including AP calculus ab.

Are you an AP® teacher?
Teachers are encouraged to use Davidson Next courses for their own enrichment and professional development as you prepare to teach one of these AP® courses. You can also use the modules as part of your in-class instruction or extra supports for your students. Be sure to enroll in the Teaching with Davidson Next course to learn best practices and ways you can integrate in your class.

Beginning August 2015, Davidson Next will be able to accommodate a limited number of teachers with their own private version of Davidson Next MOOCs. This allows you an isolated version of the course, where you are appointed as the instructor and you enroll your own students. This will limit discussion forums to just your students and you will be able to see data on your students’ progress and performance.
